Lastly, apply an alcohol-free salicylic acid product, or a salicylic acid medicated cleanser on the oilier areas of your skin two to three times a week.

Dry Skin
Dry skin is the opposite of oily skin, with a lack of oil production, resulting in extra dryness. Having dry skin requires more caution when trying new products. Using products without fragrances is encouraged, as there are less irritants in them. Dry skin may even be flaky or irritated.

To effectively care for dry skin, only cleanse your face using a gentle cleanser at night, as you should not have to cleanse again in the morning. This step should also include the removal of your makeup.

Applying a hyaluronic acid product is the next step, underneath a moisturizer. It pulls in moisture around the product and really helps soothe dry skin. Lastly, moisturize your dry skin with products containing phospholipids, cholesterol, and fatty acids.
