We all daydream. To daydream is to imagine our ideal future. Take your dreams seriously no matter how far away they seem to your own reality. Dreams can be a guide to start making necessary changes in the path of becoming a fulfilled person.
To achieve what you desire requires hard work, discipline, and perseverance. The key is to convert those dreams into solid goals.
How can you do that?
The first step is to let your imagination loose. Just be honest with yourself and answer the following questions: What do you want to achieve in life? How do you see yourself in 10 years from now? Where will you be living? Who will you share your life with? What will you do professionally? Let your creativity flow and open the door to your deepest desires. Remember that the only limits are the ones you set upon yourself. Think big and be ambitious while remaining faithful to your personal values.
Think about the necessary steps to achieve this dream. Write them down in the form of clear and specific goals. I recommend you set yourself a time limit to achieve each one of them, and that you use positive phrases rather than negative ones. Instead of writing: “I am not going to waste time on stuff that isn’t important” try to write: “I will be organized and use my time efficiently”.
The strategy to achieve your goals might change. The important thing is to keep in mind your final objective, your dream. Be flexible and adapt to new circumstances. Evolve.
Always have your dream in mind; it will become your greatest motivation. Be enthusiastic and maintain a positive attitude. There will be obstacles, but don’t let them bring you down. Think of obstacles as challenges that will bring you closer to your objective.
Be aware that your dreams won’t magically become a reality. Take control of your own life. Making your dreams come true is also your responsibility.
I do not want to stop writing without reflecting about #pinkoctober. A very important part of making your dreams come true is your wellbeing. The Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an opportunity to value your body and take care of yourself. Early detection is the best way to beat cancer. Your life is in your hands.
Be brave and go follow your dreams. If you can imagine it, it means you can achieve it. Do not let anything or anyone stop you.
As Pablo Neruda said, “It is forbidden not to smile at your problems, not to fight for what you want, to abandon everything because of fear and not to turn your dreams into a reality.”
